CNA 2 - Interventional Cardiovascular Recovery - ICVR - Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in SW Portland, Oregon. This is a part-time, on-call day shift opening. You will be scheduled 12-hour shifts from 7am - 7:30pm or will include some weekend scheduling.
In this position you will:
- Contribute to a high functioning team
- Meaningfully advance post-operative recovery of surgical patients.
- Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
- Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
- Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices
- Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference
- Other duties as assigned
The CNA 2/HUC is a key person within the decentralized nursing unit, who provides overall administrative and technical support in the operation of the unit; collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight, and operation of the unit; and performs CNA II patient care duties.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training - Health Unit Coordinator or secretarial coursework along with a medical terminology course or experience. Or equivalent educ/experience,
- Health Unit Coordinator: 1 year experience performing secretarial duties in a health care environment.
- Coursework/Training - Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course. Or equivalent educ/experience,
- CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.
- Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Experience with a variety of software applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year - Acute care hospital experience, ideally performing CNA and/or Health Unit Coordinator duties.
- 1 year - Experience as a CNA 2.
