We are looking for a talented Test Engineer (On-site, 3rd Shift) to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins location Seymour, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Test Equipment Development: Design, maintain, and upgrade test equipment and architectures to support application products.
- Root Cause Analysis: Analyze test results and provide recommendations that guide resolution of failure events.
- Functional Testing Expertise: Apply knowledge of end‑product specific functional tests during assembly to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Leverage expertise across product engineering, quality, manufacturing engineering, and facilities to drive integrated solutions.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Basic level of relevant work experience required.
Job Skill Requirements:
- This position will be a 3rd shift Manufacturing Engineering position within the Engine Test portion of the Seymour Engine Plant (SEP) business.
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) preferred; Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) may also be considered.
- Must be willing to be hands on with new and seasoned machinery, engine control systems, cell control systems, and associated machinery/equipment.
- Must be willing to dynamically support projects within the larger test area as needed.
- Experience with Comptek or other test software is helpful. Mechanical aptitude is required. Must show some experience with computer programming/control.
- Must be a self- starter, capable of identifying, prioritizing, and working projects on own initiative, as well as completing assigned tasks/projects.
