Summary:
HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Lead Program Cost Control Analyst to join our team in our Virginia Beach location! Under the direct supervision of the Senior Project Control Manager, the Lead Project Controller works alongside a team of Project Controllers and manages the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of performance on projects of varying contract type, size, complexity and level of risk. The Lead Project Controller is a key member of the program team and will act as the “CFO” of the programs assigned and works with the Program Managers and Operations Directors to help define the project’s goals and objectives; and recommends actions to improve progress and performance. The Lead Project Controller will interface with Program/Project Managers, senior technical staff, as well as other functional organizations including contracts, finance, accounts receivable, subcontract management and procurement.

What you will do:
Key Leadership Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a high-performing program control team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate advanced data analytics capabilities with a forward-thinking mindset, translating insights into strategic recommendations that go beyond the numbers.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain cost control systems for contracts requiring validated cost and schedule controls.
- Monitor project costs and schedules to ensure compliance with negotiated terms and government guidelines.
- Develop budgets and schedules for contract work; support financial analyses including funding profiles, sales forecasts, and variance assessments.
- Create program plans that align with contract requirements and statements of work.
- Conduct schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate cost and timeline risks.
- Track expenditures, prepare funding projections, and submit timely funding requests to ensure financial coverage.
- Integrate contractual changes into control systems and maintain accurate cost and schedule baselines.
- Provide cost, schedule, and funding analysis support to Program Managers, including WBS, BOEs, and time-phased budget development.
- Assist with project setup in accordance with contract terms and requirements.
- Prepare and submit Estimates at Completion (EAC) within required deadlines.
