Description

Persons in this position are required, at a minimum High school diploma or GED, and completion of an accredited LPN training program, such as courses provided through Medix, community colleges, and/or vocational schools. Must have current certification in CPR.

Certification as a LPN must be by an approved national examination agency.  Requires successful interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members in order to foster optimal quality of outpatient care.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) has duties and responsibilities related to consumer/patient/person served care within the Psychiatric Services provided by the agency. The individual displays responsible behaviors, communicates effectively to others and functions as a member of the psychiatric healthcare team. The LPN functions under the direct supervision and authority of the Physician/Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant when performing clinical tasks during patient care. The LPN reports to the Regional Director/Program Coordinator, who is responsible for administrative supervision, staff development, and orientation of the LPN to PRIDEIN NORTH CAROLINA, LLC. policies and procedures.
