Ready to Press Play on Potential?</p> <p> </p> <p> </p></div><p><strong>Let's start with the role</strong></p> <div>We are looking for an experienced MongoDB Database Administrator Team Lead with a deep understanding of MongoDB Atlas and Ops Manager / Percona operator and other distributed databases to lead and support our distributed DB engines.<br>This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership and delivery ownership, focusing on optimizing, securing, and scaling distributed database environments for high availability, performance, and resilience.</div> <div>The ideal candidate will actively contribute to technical work while also leading the distributed databases group of the DBA team, managing priorities and backlog, and ensuring operational excellence across environments.<br>Experience with RDBMS systems (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL) will be considered a strong plus.</div> <div> </div> <div><strong>As a Database Administrator Team Lead, you will:</strong></div> <div> </div> <div><strong>Technical & Operational Responsibilities</strong></div> <div> <ul> <li>Manage and maintain multiple MongoDB database environments using MongoDB Atlas / Ops Manager / Percona operator, and other distributed engines like cockroachDB ensuring high availability and performance.<br><br></li> <li>Design and implement redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery strategies.<br><br></li> <li>Configure, maintain, and optimize replica sets and sharded clusters.<br><br></li> <li>Monitor database performance and proactively identify tuning and optimization opportunities.<br><br></li> <li>Define and implement backup and recovery strategies aligned with data retention and business requirements.<br><br></li> <li>Optimize queries, indexing strategies, and data models for performance and scalability.<br><br></li> <li>Enforce security best practices, including access control, encryption, and compli
