What impact you’ll make
As a member of the Competitiveness team within the Product Management organization, you will be an active contributor to the competitiveness of the Gas Power Services product offerings, identifying strategies and driving actions to improve our win rate and profitability in partnership with the Services Business Line, Poles, Product Managers, Engineering, Project Management, EPC partnering, and Supply Chain teams.

Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Develop and maintain integrated views of competitiveness for Gas Power Services products (CSA, MMP, Transactional and Upgrades) against competitors, rationalizing and interpreting various sources of competitive intelligence across the organization. Consolidated competitiveness views can include product gameboards, strategic gameboards, value comparisons

  • Conduct competitive gap analyses to identify core business and technical strengths and weaknesses of the GEV offerings compared to competitors; analyze potential impact on GEV business objectives

  • Stay abreast and assist in vetting out relevant competitive intelligence in partnership with the Competitive Intelligence Leader; translate competitive intelligence knowledge into strategy

  • Understand win/loss reasons for the Services products & offerings, identify trends and utilize data in combination with sales team & customer feedback to define improvement actions

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Services Business Line, Poles, and enabling functions (Engineering, Supply Chain, …) to define strategies, actions, as well as differentiated and compelling value propositions for the Gas Power Services products and offerings

  • Develop services-related competitiveness strategies feeding into long term product planning (MGPP) and long term strategy planning (LTS)

  • Contribute to the New Product Development (NPI) process by providing competitive context, inputs to the Marketing Requirements Document (MRD), Product Requirements Document (PRD), Gate Review Critical Questions, and new product proposals

  • Drive and lead Red Team Blue Team simulation events on specific deals or strategic areas to deliver a better understanding of our competitive position and identify winning strategies

  • Develop and maintain tools to aid commercial teams in winning deals (sell-against content, playbooks, targeted tools, etc.)

  • Engage in deal crafting to improve Services win rate, with a focus on maximizing existing products & offerings

  • Summarize competitive positioning, strategy, and actions for Executive-level communications

What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related discipline from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge/experience

  • Significant experience in the Power industry

  • Considerable experience influencing cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization to achieve a desired outcome

  • Must be fluent in the English language

  • Decisive alignment – ability to drive collaboration, alignment and execution across the horizontal leaders in the Gas Power business to deliver results for our customers and our business financial objectives
