Patient Service Technician / Branch Lead Summary
This dual role combines the responsibilities of a Patient Service Technician (PST) and a Branch Lead. You will not only deliver, set up, and recover durable medical equipment (DME) and supplies while providing best-in-class patient service, but also support the operational success of the branch. As a Branch Lead, you will oversee scheduling and administrative tasks, assist with recruitment and onboarding, serve as a communication link between team members and leadership, and foster a positive and productive work environment. While not a formal supervisor, this role is essential to maintaining operational excellence, promoting teamwork, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.

Patient Service Technician / Branch Lead Essential Functions
- Complete deliveries, new-patient setups, and equipment recoveries efficiently and safely within the service area.
- Educate patients on proper care, usage of equipment, patient rights, financial responsibility, and collect payments/signatures when applicable.
- Assess patient needs and act accordingly, collaborating with other functions to provide whole patient care.
- Protect the safety of patients and self by following established safeguards, PPE requirements, and safety protocols.
- Receive, store, and distribute materials and supplies, managing inventory through regular physical counts.
- Organize and load equipment efficiently to maximize delivery effectiveness and ensure security of company property.
- Complete documentation, charting, and plan of care accurately and timely while maintaining confidentiality.
- Manage daily scheduling and timecard approval for branch team members, ensuring operational and payroll accuracy.
- Assist in the recruitment process, including interviewing and onboarding of new branch team members.
- Facilitate annual performance reviews with support from the Operations Supervisor.
- Act as the primary escalation point for branch-level issues, working with leadership and People Experience to resolve conflicts.
- Coordinate branch communications, meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor daily branch operations and delegate tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
