As a Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing our grants management product within our strategic philanthropy division. The ideal candidate will have experience with front-end and back-end web technologies, strong problem-solving abilities, and a desire to join a mission-oriented team. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features, fix bugs, and optimize performance, impacting business outcomes and fostering a culture of innovation.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and maintain both client-side and server-side components of our Strategic Philanthropy platform, using JavaScript, React, PL/SQL, Java, and Node.js

• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code.

• Collaborate with product management to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

• Provide feedback in peer code reviews and mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

• Practical experience in developing web applications, in a team environment or individually

• Skilled in querying databases, with a strong understanding of data models and batch processing.

• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with a track record of successfully identifying and resolving complex challenges

• Ability to understand and translate business requirements into incremental technical solutions

• In-depth experience with JIRA, pivotal or other tracking systems for management of user stories, tasks, and defects

• Expertise with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.

Compensation

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity. 

US Base Salary Range: $78,000 - $115,000
