Visa Foundation seeks to support inclusive economies where everyone, everywhere can thrive. Established in 2017, the Visa Foundation provides both grants and investments to partners to strengthen small businesses and communities worldwide. The Foundation currently supports efforts to strengthen small and growing businesses, address vulnerable communities where Visa has a significant employee presence, and provide immediate relief to communities impacted by natural disasters. To date, the Foundation and its partners have impacted 3+m small businesses and individuals worldwide while committing nearly 250m in capital.
Position Summary
Visa seeks to grow and strengthen best-in-class community partnerships and programs that raise visibility and awareness of its global purpose in communities where Visa employees live and work while delivering societal impact.
The Senior Director of Community Impact will lead Visa and Visa Foundation’s community impact partnerships and operations through grantmaking, charitable contributions and employee engagement. Further, the role will ensure that philanthropic resources from across the company are disbursed responsibly and efficiently while complying with internal and external requirements.
The Senior Director will develop and oversee programming in close partnership with internal colleagues, especially those based in regions and local offices, to deliver relevant, impactful, and highly visible partnerships that enhance visibility among internal and external stakeholders.
This role reports to the Visa’s Head of Global Philanthropy and President, Visa Foundation, and is a key member of the Foundation’s leadership team.
Responsibilities:
Community Program Development and Employee Engagement (45%): Identify, develop and nurture partnerships that deepen community presence and activate employee engagement while elevating visibility among key external and internal stakeholders. Key to these activities are: Visa Employee Engagement programs, Visa Foundation Gives, and other related philanthropic activities.
Grantmaking Oversight and Integration (35%): Oversee grantmaking and charitable contributions team workflow to enhance processes, ensure compliance, and effectively coordinate with internal and external service providers. Monitor and evaluate opportunities to enhance technology platforms in support of these activities.
Reputation Enhancement and Visibility (10%): Drive brand awareness and reputation enhancement through programing that is high impact and relevant to key stakeholders. In partnership with Stakeholder Engagement and Communications teams, identify and develop integrated programs communications plans.
