What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Primary role will be to lead the integration and coordination of Energy System org Sub-Systems (HV Battery, Thermal Systems, Charging, HV & LV Bus) into the vehicle platform, ensuring all sub-systems achieve vehicle metrics on-time, with quality.
- You will coordinate work across the entire Energy Systems team chairing the Energy Systems weekly kick-off meeting including defining agenda topics.
- In this role you will have ownership for integration of all HV components into a HV Bus Architecture, including responsibility for all mechanical and electrical interactions and requirements.
- You will own HV and support LV bus specification documents (requirement documentation) as well as the HV Mechanization diagram. You will work with Functional and HV Safety to define test plans to validate the HV Bus.
- You will provide technical expertise in integration of Power Electronics into a HV Bus.
- You will own all HV Bus Features and all associated testing.
- You will ensure that the HV Bus distribution system meets or exceeds relevant industry standards, certifications, and safety regulations.
- You will engage in DFMEA reviews led by Systems Engineers.
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in power electronics design and development, with a focus on electric vehicle applications.
- Proven leadership experience, including project coordination.
- Strong proficiency in software and simulation tools for power electronics and HV bus design.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations and best practices related to power conversion and distribution.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
