As a Principal Associate, Project Manager on the ATM & Cash PMO team, you will be part of a team supporting and/or overseeing a wide range of projects and governance programs within the ATM & Cash organization for the Retail Bank.  In this exciting role, you will work closely with key stakeholders across several lines of business to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the bottom line of the company and our customers.  You will work with smart, talented people who will challenge you to excel.  The ideal candidate is someone who has shown proficiency leading multiple types of projects, is highly motivated, thrives in a team environment, and can adapt to change quickly.   

General Responsibilities:

• Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work

• Work on medium to large scale projects that have a direct impact on the company.

• Drive projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed

• Plan, design, manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery. This activity includes management through feasibility, design, planning and implementation.

• Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation

• Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery

• Forge relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments

• Identify ways to improve and streamline business process

• Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes

• Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands

• Display strong training, modeling, consulting and collaboration skills with other Project Managers in the organization to adopt PMO tools and governance processes 

Location: West Creek 5 (Richmond, VA) or Center 2 (McLean, VA) - this role is Hybrid, where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in office and the remainder of the week working virtually.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

• At least 3 years of Project Management Experience

• At least 1 years of experience using Google Suite or Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree

• At least 4 years of Project Management experience

• At least 1 year of Vendor Management experience

• PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Project Manager
