Job Description Summary
As a leader in Delivery Management, drive strategically important and global programs and projects across business units. Provide project and program management, delivery assurance and consulting, project health checks, and guidance for key programs and projects. Devise strategies to implement key initiatives and programs supporting stakeholder goals, financial management initiatives and superior services.Job Description
Responsibilities
- Spearhead complex programs through cross functional teams.
- Provide direction and coaching in setting goals and performance of programs including project planning, execution, functionality, quality, cost, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Manage and develop team members to meet department goals, resolve issues, and execute major program initiatives.
- Drive all aspects of program and project management for strategically important initiatives.
- Provide input and recommendations on PMO governance items, including reporting, threshold assessments, and assessing and monitoring health of key projects.
- Develop the strategic plans for programs that align with business goals and objectives.
- Partner with strategic support vendors to drive cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with all levels of Technology and stakeholder organizations on project direction, and actively communicate goals/initiatives, strategic roadmaps, and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or IT related field
- Ten years of technology and related management experience including IT program/project management
- Experience with Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) processes and tools
- Strong organizational skills (planning, prioritizing) and communication skills (written, verbal, listening) to successfully adapt to diverse people and situations, manage conflict, and proactively resolve issues
- Leadership skills including relationship building, negotiation and influence, and facilitation techniques such as program increment (PI)
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills to interact with business partners, staff, and management at all levels, including C-level executives
Preferred Qualifications
- Program leadership experience in the insurance/financial services industry
- Expert knowledge of agile and scaled agile frameworks and tools
- PMP/PMI certifications
