Job Description:
This job is responsible for ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes are in adherence to enterprise data management standards. Key responsibilities include triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and performing impact analysis stemming from data updates. Job expectations include helping in defining access and ownership of data by domain, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Global Payments Solutions is enhancing its data management capabilities. This includes executing a strong data strategy and architecture program. This role will play a pivotal part in driving these enhancements and their ongoing sustainment. The role requires a strategic approach to managing the risk and business enablement priorities from data perspective. It also requires partnering with stakeholders in GPS and the rest of the Enterprise to support business and product strategy from data perspective, drive regulatory adherence, strengthen frameworks for data architecture, enhance operational excellence and meet GPS goal to be the best-in-class. The role covers key data management pillars – implementing a balanced data strategy for the business, developing and governing data domains, designing and delivering a strong controls program and supporting GPS business, product, operations, and technology leaders in making informed decisions.
- Drives strategic data initiatives. Execute programs for successful implementation and sustainability
- Transforms Global Payment Solutions data strategy into executable plans and oversee completion. Adapt strategy according to near-term priorities and long-term roadmap
- Documents, owns, and executes the development of complex data solutions and initiatives in support of business and product strategy
- Engages with key business, operations, and technology stakeholders for GPS data domains
- Ensures data is accurate, complete, and fit for performing data analyses through various testing procedures and data controls which help to identify business insights fit for purpose for a particular product set
- Develops and executes on Enterprise Data Management policies and standards, works across teams to ensure adherence, serves as a key point of contact for all topics related to data compliance, and manages operational elements of the (Enterprise Data Strategy Governance and Operations (EDSGO) relationship
- Manages data related incidents and identifies, communicates, and resolves or escalates issues as needed. Data inquiries include questions related to data issues, availability of data, and potential sourcing alternatives to inform
- Develops, manages, and executes on controls, ensuring tracking, monitoring, and resolution of any control breaches with data platform
- Partners with Business and Technology functions to drive the development of business and functional requirements documents and ensures strategic upstream resolution for data related incidents
Qualifications:
- 2 yrs of experience driving strategic strategic data initiatives, managing stakeholders and managing day-to-day complex technology designing and implementation
- Management or Payments role with a Data focus
- Drive adoption of and adherence to internal data management policies and standards (i.e.: Enterprise Data Management and Global Records Management)
- Be hands-on with data and have ability to quickly analyze data, understand the data, and identify potential data quality problems
- Responsible for quality of data domain governance assets such as data catalog, data lineage or asset flows, etc.
- Ability to write or facilitate creation of business requirements and functional requirements documents<
