Role Description

Form Energy is hiring an experienced Construction Manager to manage the deployment and construction of projects utilizing Form’s multi-day storage product. This role reports to our Senior Director of Project Engineering. As part of the Project Engineering team, you will lead deployment and drive construction projects to a timely completion. You will also work closely with suppliers and contractors to execute the construction projects. This role requires frequent travel to Form’s project sites.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from mobilization through commercial operation 

  • Manage contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that project scopes, schedules, specifications and quality standards are met

  • Coordinate and solve multidisciplinary technical field issues with contractors

  • Be responsible for construction safety and enforce safety practices  

  • Manage project sites and coordinate all deliveries and sequencing of construction activities 

  • Communicate project needs, changes, and status to internal and external stakeholders

  • Identify opportunities for design and constructability improvements 

  • Define and set up processes for construction documentation, including RFIs, logs, punch lists etc.

  • Ensure that all onsite work complies with regulatory requirements, codes and standards, best practices, and other contractual requirements

What you'll bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial/industrial construction, including 4+ years in renewable energy or energy storage projects

  • Expert knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods, including construction management software tools 

  • Experience with reading and developing construction schedules (Primavera P6 or equivalent) 

  • Background and experience with major EPC or large capital construction projects is preferred 

  • Resourceful and collaborative team player capable of working effectively with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Attention to detail and excellent project management skills 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to travel and work at remote project sites 80-90% of the time

  • Eligibility and willingness to apply for General Contractor license in multiple states  

  • Valid Driver’s license in good standing
