Job Description

This position will support process improvement efforts across Universal Studios Hollywood including Attractions, Parking, Ticket Booths, Main Entry, Food Warehouses, Retail Warehouses, Production Kitchen and Special Events. The Associate Industrial Engineering & Data Analytics Analyst will aid in determining the most efficient ways to best utilize people, machines, materials, information, and data to provide world class service. This role will deliver real improvements that positively impact the business results, financial results, guest satisfaction and employee satisfaction through expertise in quantitative methods.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate productivity and efficiency related analyses. Evaluate and improve methods and procedures for the various operational processes throughout the park.
  • Formulate and apply analytical approaches such as mathematical optimization, stochastic process models, econometric methods and decision analysis in the development of forecasting models
  • Build forecasting and optimization models in order to calculate demand sensitivity to make recommendations and implements changes to optimize profitability.
  • Develop and execute data collection studies and obtain data using database query tools in order to perform data mining and data analysis using statistical tools and methodologies.
  • Aid in the development of business cases & presentations to be presented from front line stakeholders to executive leadership
  • Ability to influence and work with others in rolling out process improvements and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting to support visibility of trends for various attractions throughout the park.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields
  • 0 to 2 years of work experience in a related field, which can include internship experience
  • Demonstrated practical application of statistical methods/techniques
  • Experienced in SQL and Python or related language
  • Knowledge of project management and process improvement methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project), and other analytical tools

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
