Job Details:

General Notes 

This is an hourly position; hours may vary from 20-30+ per week.  This position will occasionally be required to work additional hours or weekends to complete time-sensitive projects.  Reliable transportation is a requirement for travel to community sites on a regular basis. This is a fixed term position for one year with the possibility of renewal based on performance, continued funding, and mutual agreement.

Purpose

The purpose of this research associate position is to assist with in-person data collection at community sites, perform project management tasks, perform data management and data analysis and assist with report/manuscript preparation. The person in this position will report directly to Dr. Moczygemba.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to community sites to enroll study participants and perform data collection and perform data entry, and other project management tasks

  • Assistance with data management and data analysis

  • Assistance with report/manuscript preparation

  • Other relevant tasks (e.g., literature reviews) as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health or health-related field

  • Experience with data management and report/manuscript development

  • Experience with informed consent guidelines

  • Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative data analyses

Additional experience and education may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the following: R, Python, MS Word, Excel/Google Sheets, Qualtrics, RedCap, Canva

Driving Required

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

Hourly Rate

  • $20/hour

Working Conditions

  • Open office environment

  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

  • Use of manual dexterity

  • Will be occasionally required to work after hours and on weekends for research deadlines (minimized to the degree possible)

  • Reliable transportation to community sites for data collection
