JOB PURPOSE
The Production Technician Lead is responsible for performing and overseeing of inspection, labeling and packaging of finished drug product. The Lead Production Technician will execute these tasks manually or will be responsible for operating equipment that performs these functions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality.
• Performs and oversees visual inspection of drug product in accordance with SOPs and cGMPs as required.
• Performs and oversees manual labelling and packaging functions as required.
• Sets up, maintains, and operates various pieces of computerized and manual inspection/labelling/packaging equipment as required,
• Performs and oversees daily/weekly/monthly cleaning of the Production areas per internal SOPs.
• Responsible for maintaining the quality of machine output and product integrity.
• Responsible for maintaining and enforcing a clean and organized production environment.
• Completes and maintains applicable logbook and batch record paperwork abiding by Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) as required.
• Escalates both machine and manual deviations to the area supervisor or designee.
• Provides peer training on all Production-related procedures as required.
• Designates daily priorities and job assignments and organizes workflow.
• Identify, segregate, and report defective product to management, assuming accountability of final product.
• Performs other related duties as determined by management personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum: H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Some college and/or college degree preferred
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum: Minimum two (2) years cGMP manufacturing experience required. Two (2) years leadership experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment.

SKILLS
• Employee may be required to lift 5 – 40 pounds.
• Employee may be required to stand continually throughout the shift.
• Job involves frequent bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• The noise level of the job environment is moderate. Hearing protection is provided and may be required at times.
• A close visual acuity (eye exam) is required.
• Have and maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of cGMPs.
