Responsibilities

Are you passionate about the latest Image Generation and video display technologies?

The Draper Digital Engineering & Enabling Technologies Division (GAE) is looking for a highly self-motivated software development student to help develop and maintain our Image Generation (IG) capabilities. Our organization is responsible for integrating Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) hardware and both COTS IG software solutions and in-house graphics application development to support visual simulation and human-machine-interface (HMI) capabilities on a variety of projects.

Job duties will include migrating legacy animated visualizations to Unreal Engine and integrating it with existing simulation host connectivity. This is a hands-on technical position working with state of the art computer graphics hardware & software.

Qualifications

Typical Education/Experience:

A qualified candidate will have completed at least two years of accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or game programming.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required):

-Experience with software development on the MS Windows OS using MS Visual Studio. Linux software development experience is a bonus.

-Experience with Unreal Engine application development. Experience with Unreal Engine 5 is a bonus.

-Experience developing object oriented applications using C++.

-This position requires US Citizenship.

 

Basic Qualifications (Preferred):

-Minimum three years of education focused on modelling and simulation or game development.

-Experience working with 3D modeling software that exports model formats compatible with Unreal Engine.

-Experience with MATLAB and SimuLink.
