About the Program

The Home’s Child and Family Counseling Center (CFCC) is a licensed outpatient mental health clinic dedicated to supporting children, adults and families navigating emotional, behavioral, developmental and academic challenges.

We provide treatment, therapy and prevention services, medication management, psychiatry consultation and neuropsychological testing to individuals from birth through adulthood. Our counseling and specialty services are delivered in homes, at our counseling center, and are embedded in more than 90 schools throughout Greater Boston. We know that flexibility matters to our families, and we are proud to offer convenient telehealth options when clinically appropriate.

About the Role

Plan, direct, oversee, and manage the portfolio of outpatient services, including School-Based Services, MassStart, DMH Individual and Family Flexible Support Services, DCF Support & Stabilization, Medication Management, Psychological Testing, and other programs as assigned. Ensure efficient daily operations while maintaining clinical quality and excellence in service delivery. Collaborate with referral sources and external stakeholders to maintain a steady flow of eligible clients and ensure access to CFCC services that meet community needs. Promote a positive, inclusive work environment.

How You Will Be Making a Difference

  • Partner with the Vice President to assess needs and develop, implement, and refine program services for clients and families. Ensure services are coordinated and integrated. Regularly evaluate services and implement improvement plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee all program staff and provide regular one-on-one supervision to key administrative leaders and CFCC supervisors.
  • Administer performance evaluations and the performance management process.
  • Participate in the selection, onboarding, and termination of staff.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community agencies and federal, state, and local partners to support a steady flow of eligible client referrals.
  • Establish, review (at minimum annually), and implement CFCC policies and procedures. Identify and implement new processes and initiatives to improve and/or expand services. Ensure alignment with agency standards and funder requirements.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with agency staff and leverage agency resources to support the successful management and growth of CFCC programs.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the annual operating budget for the program(s). Monitor budget performance against approved allocations, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions as needed. Communicate with the Vice President regarding budget risks and requests.
  • Oversee intake, authorization (as applicable), and discharge processes; ensure documentation, data entry, and required deliverables are completed accurately and on time. Maintain program census and ensure adherence to agency guidelines.
  • Oversee risk management and participate in crisis response. Review, approve, and route critical incident reports to Quality Management and appropriate staff. Coordinate with risk/compliance partners on required reporting and follow-up.
  • Oversee electronic health record (EHR) workflows and drive updates and efficiencies needed to support outpatient levels of care.
  • Facilitate CFCC staff meetings, supervisors’ meetings, and director meetings.
  • Attend monthly/quarterly meetings and represent the program(s) and agency at internal and external meetings; act as a liaison to providers and community resources.
  • Provide 24-hour on-call support and participate in rotating coverage to assure 24/7 on-call program support.
