JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Administrative Support Assistant to provide operational support to our undergraduate student population. This position will be involved in a variety of undergraduate studies tasks to help support CSE’s large undergrad student population (1,500+ students). Tasks including (but not limited to) assisting CSE’s full time staff assistants with daily administrative duties such as: responding to emails, answering phone calls, maintaining accurate records, booking room reservations, processing ePetitions, and answering questions from current students. This position may also assist with undergraduate recruitment events. The successful candidate will work closely with the College of Engineering and across the school of EECS with Electrical Engineering’s undergraduate program to facilitate the processing of appropriate forms and documents. This position will serve as a first point of contact for the department.
Education and Experience:
Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication. Knowledge of LionPath, Microsoft Office suite, and Worklion/Workday is preferred but not necessary. Candidate must demonstrate professionalism with a high commitment to customer service; organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy; ability to manage and prioritize tasks with minimal direction; and exercise discretion and judgment while managing confidential information.
