*Note: This position is a hybrid remote/office role, and you must be able to report in person to Ada, MI, on Tuesdays through Thursdays.  

 

What do we need:

This Associate Process Engineer will support the Nutrilite Spaulding Operation manufacturing in various ways, from investigating and solving production process problems and technical issues to implementing best practices in the plant’s day-to-day processes to helping scale up the plant for new product launches.  A problem solver who can grow and learn would be ideal in this role.

This team is positioned at the intersection of engineering and manufacturing. It gets to focus on solving the problems that nobody else knows how to and identifying the opportunities for improvement that nobody has explored before. The team has much cross-industry experience and knowledge to share with and support new additions.

 

What’s special about this role:

This role partners with many cross-functional groups (e.g., manufacturing, project engineering, innovation and sciences, marketing, project management, procurement, planning, finance, etc.) and gives you great exposure to how Amway's entire supply chain operates.

 

Process engineers are the technical experts of the facility they are assigned to and are thus responsible for building the capability for manufacturing to receive all new products, processes, and equipment purchases. This fast-paced role also comes with a large amount of indirect leadership responsibilities.

 

Required qualifications:

  • BS / BA in Chemical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Exposure to hands-on industry experience working within an FDA or cGMP manufacturing environment, preferably in the Pharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals, or Medical devices.

 

Skills to be successful in the role:

  • Capability of using related analytical and scientific software, databases, and applications, including typical Office Suite software packages (i.e., Excel, Minitab).
  • Exposure to managing budgets, building timelines, and providing cost estimates desirable
  • Talent to collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to bring projects forward to completion. Six Sigma training/experience
