Summary
The Manager of International Student Services oversees the administrative operations of the Office of International Student Services and serves as the Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) for the F-1 visa program and the Responsible Officer (RO) for the J-1 visa program. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional immigration policies, advises international students on maintaining their immigration status, and supports international student engagement efforts. The Manager collaborates closely with the Admissions Office to support international students from the point of deposit to enrollment, ensuring a seamless onboarding process.

Essential Functions
Administrative Management of International Student Services
Serves as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for the F-1 visa program and Responsible Officer (RO) for the J-1 visa program, managing SEVIS compliance and maintaining accurate records.
Advises international students on immigration matters, including status maintenance, employment authorizations, travel documentation, and any other related academic issues.
Oversees the (Student Exchange Visitor Information) SEVIS reporting and FSA atlas batching process, ensuring compliance and accuracy in data submission.
Prepares qualitative and quantitative quarterly and annual reports for departmental use and compliance documentation.
Collaboration with Admissions
Works closely with the Admissions Office to assist international students in submitting required documents for I-20 issuance.
Evaluates financial documentation and prepares I-20 forms once all requirements are met.
Supports pre-arrival communications with new international students to ensure preparedness and understanding of university processes.
Engages with international students during the accept-to-enrollment phase to foster a positive transition experience.
International Student Engagement
Supports the Student and Family Engagement Department with events and initiatives related to international students, including the Festival of Nations and other engagement opportunities.
Assists with university-wide events such as Open Houses, Admitted Student Days, and New Student Orientation to support the integration of international students into the campus community.
Provides workshops and seminars on topics such as immigration compliance, employment opportunities, and cultural adjustment.
Operational and Systems Oversight
Maintains proficiency in SEVIS, Salesforce, and other related systems to ensure smooth operations.
Stays updated on immigration regulations and policies to maintain compliance and provide accurate advising.
Manages government-related documentation, including employment-based petitions (economic hardship, curricular practical training, and optional practical training), social security, sponsorship, and program extension letters.
Collaborates and assists with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in any field of study is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
3-5 years of experience serving as a Primary Designated School Official (PDSO).
Must have experience with SEVIS, Colleague, and Salesforce.
Advanced MS Office Suite skills.
Must be able to efficiently communicate with students, parents, faculty, staff, SEVIS, and other areas that pertain to international students.
