THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in growing the experimentation function within the Sportsbook Commercial team. You will help to accelerate the scalability and sophistication of best-in-class experimentation practice while maintaining standardization of processes across teams. The Senior Analyst will partner with several commercial stakeholders and will be responsible for designing and analyzing experiments that help to answer key business questions. This person will have the opportunity to be a part of designing technical solutions that support FanDuel’s ability to test and learn at scale, driving a strong culture of data informed decision making.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

• Own end-to-end delivery of experiments (e.g., A/B/n, multivariate, multi-armed bandit), including design, execution and analysis, ensuring best practices and statistical rigor are met across all stages.
• Be a key partner to Sportsbook Commercial teams in advancing our understanding generosity and customer value proposition. Work closely with analytical teams to gather insights and develop testable hypotheses driven by these insights.
• Provide thought leadership in experimentation capabilities development. Partner with teams across the organization (Product, Data Science, MLE, etc.) to implement scalable, modular solutions.
• Mentor junior analysts to help build their technical skills, such as statistical analysis, coding best practices.
• Drive FanDuel’s test-and-learn mindset across teams by promoting the value of experimentation, sharing results transparently, and encouraging iterative improvement.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

• 3+ years of experience in data focused role such as data science, analytics or research.
• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Economics, Computer Science or similar domain.
• Experience designing and running A/B/n experiments in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with advanced testing techniques (multi-armed bandit, synthetic controls) a plus.
• Advanced experience with SQL, Python and/or object-oriented programming. Experience with Databricks, including packaging code and app deployment a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to work through ambiguity and deliver solutions to business problems.
• Commercial acumen: understanding of P&L, business principles and commercial levers
• A “can-do” attitude and the type of person who constantly looks for solutions and better ways of operating
• Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus
