About the role

Position Summary 

The ISR Program Manager is responsible for successfully managing all aspects of the assigned program. The Program Manager will act as the primary contact for all contract needs such as contract execution, negotiation, changes, and customer satisfaction. Responsible for careful review of cost, budget, schedule, and performance for assigned programs, in accordance with the approved Metrea Special Aerospace (MSA) processes. The Program Manager will support and serve a strong role in the development of follow-on business and growth for their assigned programs/customers.

Essential Functions and Competency Statements 

  • Responsible for planning, direction, and control required to meet the cost, schedule, and performance goals throughout the life cycle of their assigned programs. 
  • Manage work performance and schedules of Project Managers, Site Leads, and other program employees.
  • Update and report on Program(s) Bids and Proposals (B&P) IR&D performance / status in accordance with the Program Management and Planning/Tracking (PMAP/PMAT) and CPPM processes. 
  • Monitor proposal processes for follow-on business or new business opportunities related to their respective program by successfully completing the proposal process to include developing the strategy for successfully completing the proposal, review all program data for executive management approval, and ensuring the technical, cost, and management requirements of the proposal are met. 
  • Primary representative with the customer on assigned program(s). Maintain close contact with the customer to ensure the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure a continuous line of communication is kept open with the appropriate customer representatives to maintain an elevated level of program status awareness, provide timely recognition and resolution of problems, identify follow-on business opportunities, and prevent surprises.
  • Participate in contract strategy, development, review, and negotiations for their programs.
  • Support the development and execution of the business area capture plan within their assigned area of responsibility, as requested.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes. 
  • Identify staffing/resource needs for assigned and projected programs to ensure adequate staffing for successful program completion. 
  • Review and approve program related requirements.
  • Recommend improvements for streamlining programmatic processes.
  • Elevated level of learning, strategic thinking, team building, conflict resolution and time management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of company philosophy and processes.
