Popular Association Loan Management

We are excited to announce that we are expanding our Popular Association Banking division and are looking to hire a seasoned Loan Processing Supervisor to join our dynamic Community Association Financing Team (a.k.a. Popular Association Banking).

In this position you will be responsible for managing the processing of PAB’s Loan Portfolio and providing managerial direction and supervisory control to department staff.

In this position, you will:

• Supervise loan administrative staff. Assign duties to personnel to ensure efficient operation of department or unit. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Train coach and evaluate employees to improve efficiency and ensure conformance to standard procedures and practices. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
   
• Be responsible for the managing of a designated loan portfolio in the Popular Association Banking division ensuring the proper processing of loan applications and/or renewals with the emphasis being placed on compliance with all regulations and underwriting according the Bank’s policies and procedures.
   
• Act as liaison between administrative staff and respective loan officers, creating an environment of teamwork sharing a common goal.
   
• Perform portfolio management activities such as review of pipeline report to ensure all active deals are followed up on, review submit to credit report, renewal / rate change report, commitment expiration report and collateral report to ensure timely processing of pertinent deadlines.
   
• Ensure proper processing of loan applications and/or renewals with emphasis placed on compliance with all regulations, and underwriting according to the bank’s policies and procedures.
   
• Reviewing commitment letters for accuracy before delivery to client.
   
• Manage PAB Loan Support email proxy to ensure timely response to customer inquiries.
   
• Other duties to include a variety of processing supervisory
   

To be considered, you will need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
   
• Minimum of 3 years Commercial Loan portfolio or processing experience or Community Association Banking experience.
   
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory management experience leading a team
   
• Thorough knowledge of analyzing financial statements.
   
• Must have strong customer service experience and ability to stay calm under pressure.
   
• Strong attention to operational policies and procedures combined with strong communication skills.
