The Pharmacy Technician Instructor plays a pivotal role in advancing the educational mission of CHCP by delivering high-quality, competency-based instruction to students aspiring to enter the pharmacy field. The Pharmacy Technician Instructor will work closely with students, faculty, and industry professionals to ensure the delivery of a robust and relevant educational experience.

  • Provide competency-based education that aligns with CHCP's curriculum model and supports the institution's delivery style.
  • Develop and deliver instructional plans that meet course competencies, incorporating activities that support lesson objectives.
  • Facilitate the achievement of exit competencies by fostering student learning and establishing clear performance criteria.
  • Establish a conducive learning environment for both online and in-person instruction, ensuring student engagement and success.
  • Deliver timely and comprehensive feedback to students, particularly at mid-term, to support their academic progress.
  • Promote student success by demonstrating flexibility in teaching style and schedule while maintaining a passion for education.
  • Manage classroom operations, including maintaining accurate records, taking attendance, submitting grades, and enforcing academic policies.
  • Participate actively in faculty meetings, departmental discussions, and campus-wide initiatives.
  • Contribute to campus service by engaging in special projects and committees annually.
  • Incorporate professional and industry experience into the curriculum to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Attend Program Advisory Committee meetings annually to provide insights on curriculum and program effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the educational mission of CHCP.
  • National Certified Pharmacy Technician, State Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Registered Pharmacist credentials.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacist, or 3 years of experience with an associate's degree or higher.
  • Proficiency in IV Sterile Compounding and experience in hospital pharmacy settings.
  • Prior teaching or training experience is preferred.
  • Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician and State Registered Pharmacy Technician certifications are required.
