Now Hiring: Weld Technician (2pm-10pm)
Join our team as a Weld Technician on the afternoon shift! We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining high-quality tooling and supporting production efficiency.
What You’ll Do
As a Weld Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing paint jig tooling to ensure optimal performance. Your responsibilities will include:
• Perform cleaning operations for paint jig tooling, including:
◦ Operating industrial power washers
◦ Using paint stripping ovens
• Conduct gauging, maintenance, and repair of paint jig tooling
• Utilize metal fabrication tools and welding skills to complete repairs
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to develop and maintain cleaning schedules
• Maintain accurate documentation of tooling condition, maintenance, and repairs
• Communicate tooling status, concerns, and improvement opportunities to the team
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should bring:
• Completion of a welding skills assessment (used to establish baseline skill level)
• Forklift certification, or willingness to obtain certification
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong time management skills to support production schedules
• A positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
