What does a Intake Marketing Specialist - Home Health do?

As the Intake Marketing Specialist, you will be the essential first point of contact for patients, families, and referral sources, making a meaningful impact in the home health care journey. Your role involves marketing home health services, screening patients for eligibility in the CHHA program, and ensuring a seamless transition from referral to discharge. Key tasks include lead generation, contacting and educating patients about our services, engaging with hospitals, nursing homes, and case managers to facilitate a smooth intake process. You'll maintain constant communication with patients, caregivers, and referral sources, keeping them informed throughout their experience. Additionally, you'll handle administrative tasks such as entering patient demographics into our software, assembling intake packets, and scheduling initial appointments for Registered Nurses. Your proactive approach will also address any patient inquiries or concerns, contributing to a fulfilling experience for all involved in the process.

A high school diploma is required, with a college degree preferred, demonstrating your commitment to education. Prior experience in an intake or similar role within a home care or healthcare setting will be beneficial, particularly in understanding referral processes. Your marketing and lead generation expertise will contribute significantly to the role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for engaging with patients and referral sources effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, will aid in managing patient data and tracking communications. Lastly, possessing absolute integrity and maturity to handle confidential information is crucial, ensuring that all patient interactions are conducted with the utmost professionalism and respect.
