Department Overview

Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.

 

Position Summary

The Emergency Management Specialist participates in designing, developing, and maintaining Emergency Preparedness plans, processes, standards, and programs. This position will serve as the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) Coordinator for PG&E’s dams and is responsible for updating, exercising and improving the emergency plans for 88 PG&E dams and water control structures. Incumbents manage the tools to support key operational programs to effectively support emergency response efforts across the organization including internal and external facing websites and software applications and are responsible for providing emergency training exercises and drills to internal coworkers in various departments involved in emergency planning and business continuity. Responsibilities also include the coordination of preparedness activities with internal and external partners to support an effective readiness posture to identified hazards and ensuring assigned employee groups perform effectively in emergency situations and operate the transmission or distribution grid in a reliable manner.

• This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

CA Minimum: $123,000
CA Maximum: $197,000
