Eliot is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CBHC) team. Eliot’s CBHC program serves as a single entry point for mental health and substance use services for youth, families and adults. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience prescribing medication as well as experience working with adults with mental illness. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong time-management, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, prescribe, and monitor psychotropic medications
  • Obtain informed consent and order necessary lab work
  • Educate clients/families on medications and medical conditions
  • Conduct medical assessments and monitor ongoing health needs
  • Support culturally competent, strengths-based, recovery-focused care
  • Promote evidence-based, consumer-centered interventions
  • Refer to and coordinate with community physicians as needed
  • Provide crisis assessments and lead stabilization efforts
  • Participate in risk management and provide on-call support

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Masters degree in Nursing (MSN)
  • Must have history managing acute psychiatric patients and patients with serious mental illness.  
  • Licensure from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing to practice as a licensed Nurse Practitioner; and is registered to practice as a Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center

Schedule: Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (8 hours per week) 

Hourly Rate$60$65 USD
