We are currently seeking an Intern to work with our process engineering team at our site in Calvert City, KY. This is a summer internship program from June 2024-August 2024.
What you will do:
The intern will support the engineering department on the following areas:
- Daily Quality and Onstream Monitoring
- Review of QA/QC data from previous day
- Review of downtime causes from previous day
- Troubleshooting QA/QC issues
- Troubleshooting downtime issues
- Reporting QA/QC and Onstream data to upper management
- Running day-to-day operations of Spray Dryer facility
Daily activities include:
- Hands on experience with running a two tower spray dry operation
- Extensive troubleshooting learning opportunities (fieldwork and process trend review)
- Hands on experience dealing with process upsets and directing a labor force to resolve various process issues
What we need from you:
- Must be currently enrolled and active in a degree program. Preference will be given to individuals majoring in Chemistry Engineering
- Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA (cumulative)
- Understanding of an industrial QA/QC laboratory
- Polymerization Chemistry Training
- Familiarity with basic principles of chemistry
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- SAP experience is preferred
