In this role, you will:

This role will be responsible to provide technical leadership and champion the technical vision in the design, development, optimization, and commercialization of mechanical and process capabilities across NA Fiber, Stock System and Tissue Machine assets.

Value stream optimization

  • Detail advantaged actions and initiatives that can reduce cost, drive consumer value and sustain identified advantage in the market
  • Work closely with various departments of the business (e.g., Operations, R&D, Sales, and Marketing) to translate business strategy to VS requirements and improve overall VS
  • Strong commercial partnership and understanding of the customers and consumers to ensure the supply chain can deliver as expected
  • Support sourcing strategy, ensure business continuity, and negotiation leverage
  • Coach and mentor team members to increase technical understanding and capabilities to drive NA Tissue business results.
  • Conceive, develop, validate, and share ideas leading to new or improved products, processes, materials, systems or scientific knowledge aligned with business unit objectives.
  • Maintain technical and scientific expertise in Fiber development, Stock Systems and Tissue Machine manufacturing to understand and communicate impact of developments on K-C.
  • Protect and defend K-C proprietary technology, products, and business processes through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets

Goal setting and performance management

  • Bring the outside in, ensure competitive understanding, industry benchmarks and global internal capabilities
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the VS, including metrics related to cost, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the VS, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies

Fiber Processing

  • Drive the Fiber Process technology advancement roadmap, tied to the innovation roadmap, the asset strategy and process advancements
  • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing and Capital Engineering teams to deliver cost savings,  product improvements and sustainability goals by optimizing virgin, recycle and broke fiber mix

  • 12+ years of Tissue Manufacturing or Fiber Processing experience
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making
  • Proven track record of coaching and developing te
