Job Description
The Senior Product Analyst is an innovative, self-directed individual who can drive process improvement in the organization by analyzing business and industry data, including KPIs, coding rules and regulations and use tools to evaluate large sets of data.
This ideal candidate utilizes healthcare Revenue Cycle knowledge and expertise in coding and compliance guidelines to discover opportunities supporting the Contract Manager product portfolio by validation of governmental and third-party payer policy content for client utilization.
Must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analyst methods and an analytical mindset.
Essential Functions
- Liaison between Product Manager, the Product Owner, Payer Content team to provide coding rules and regulations to ensure compliant data output/reporting along with innovating product and platform strategic roadmap initiatives.
- Ability to extract and translate regulatory information from Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), American Medical Association (AMA), Office of Inspector General (OIG), third-party payer policies
- Ability to stay informed with healthcare and governmental regulations which impact the platform to create solutions to support revenue cycle challenges and regulations
- Ability to interact with clients as a liaison by interpreting and demonstrating coding content and edits within the product(s) and recommend updates to Product Manager based on rules and regulations
- Ability to function as a subject matter expert (SME) for Claim Scrubber functionality, content, and edit library
- Maintain documentation regarding strategic initiatives and projects, processes, and operations
- Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents, client facing and internal documents
- Educate cross-functional team members
- Identify automation opportunities
- Communicate and validate product requirements with relevant client and internal stakeholders
- Perform data discovery, analysis, and modeling
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams on roadmap planning and prioritization
- Reviewing and interpreting customer/client needs
- May perform other duties as required
Qualifications
License & Certifications
- Minimum - Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P)
- Preferred - Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
Education
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent work experience
Work Experience
- Minimum – 3 + years of related coding or review experience in a health care setting
- Preferred - 5 + years’ experience in multi-specialty professional and/or facility coding experience
- Preferred experience using Salesfo
