ABOUT THE ROLE 

S&S Activewear is currently experiencing rapid growth and is seeking to add a key member to the Finance team who can support this continued expansion. We are in search of a proactive, dynamic, hands-on, and collaborative Finance professional with substantial experience who is looking to accelerate their professional growth. This role will require someone who can collaborate well with others, as the Finance team looks to help all functions (sales, pricing, purchasing, marketing, HR, IT, operations, etc.) both i) perform analyses; and ii) understand and remained aligned on data and reporting standards. This role is critical to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and dashboards that are central to decision-making across different departments. The Business Intelligence & Data Quality Lead will play a vital role in performing data-intensive analyses, building Power BI dashboards, implementing data governance practices, and leading our company business glossary and data dictionary efforts. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in analysis, data analytics, data visualization, data quality, and data definitions. Additionally, a strong foundation in accounting and corporate finance principles is essential. A successful candidate will be eager to learn, organized, high-energy, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing projects within a collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Establish enterprise-wide best practices (alongside our Data Science and IT teams) for implementing, validating, and documenting data visualizations and reports in Power BI and our internal reporting of KPIs / business metrics
  • Create, use, validate, and analyze Power BI dashboards for trend visualization and understanding
  • Validate the accuracy and consistency of reports and dashboards built in PBI (metrics, KPIs and visuals), ensuring data integrity and alignment with business logic
  • Collaborate with PBI developers and data engineers to validate data pipelines and metrics sourced from Snowflake and our internal ERP system (and system of record) are accurate
  • Collaborate with data QA functional leads (e.g. from Sales, HR, Marketing, etc.) to develop and maintain the business glossary and data dictionary, ensuring consistent definitions and usage across departments
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams (PBI developers, IT) and business QA leads to ensure understanding of data quality issues and business needs
  • Hold monthly QA status meetings with data engineers/ PBI developers
  • Maintain documentation of QA process, standards and changes
  • Ensure newly defined terms, fields and metrics are consistently applied across the organization's data reports
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies across sources system, BI dashboards, and warehouse tables
  • Develop data governance framework, including ownership models
  • Work with PBI developers, business analysts and software engineers to ensure data sources, joins and calculations are correct and meet the business requirements and practices
