Software Engineer, Senior (NJUS)

Purpose of Position

NetJets is the leading private aviation company, dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences in luxury travel. We’re looking for a Full-Stack Senior Engineer with a heavy focus on the latest AWS technologies to help us support this mission. You’ll bring a core set of competencies – Adaptability, Collaboration, Curiosity, a Service-Oriented Mindset, and a Strive for Positive Results, along with a background in architecting and re-architecting microservices and integrating third party SaaS applications to help set the stage for our new platform; working directly with architects and other engineers to do so. While this role will be heavily backend and cloud focused, there will be involvement with React-based front-end development work as well.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Drive the design, analysis, and implementation of new services and integrations with 3rd party SaaS applications such as Genesys.  

• Collaborate with various internal teams like architecture, infrastructure operations, and cyber security to reach consensus on best patterns. 

• Automate, build, test, and deploy code and build pipelines 

• Establish automated quality control patterns – unit testing, automation, and security scanning best practices for code  

• Work in an agile team environment to iteratively delivery value 

• Bring others up to speed on your experience and knowledge – mentoring, code review, and helping your team grow  

Education

Bachelor's in Computer Science or Information Technology

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering field.
• Experience with Genesys or other Call-Center-as-a-Service is a plus. 
• 4-6 years of experience as a Software Engineer is required.  
• Strong programming skills in languages such as JavaScript, Typescript and/or Java.  
• 1-2 years of working with React is a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience and working knowledge of AWS technologies such as API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Lambda. EventBridge and CDK.  
• Experience integrating 3rd party SaaS applications into existing software. 
• Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies is a plus. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
