Refrigeration Maintenance (RF01- RF08) - B Shift

Job Details:

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility, therefore, they will be considered for the opening first. If none of those local Team Members are selected, then other Team Members from other locations will be given consideration. This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment and handle any work orders for the ammonia compressors, freezers, cooling units, etc. This position also includes making rounds and documenting system conditions (i.e. temperatures, pressure, inspections, etc.) and maintaining acceptable tolerance ranges. Read, interpret and understand drawings, sketches, prints, etc. that are related to the maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment. The Dardanelle Complex Safety Goal is Zero Accidents.

Requirements

Must be able to work in confine spaces and become HAZ-MAT Level IV and Respirator certified and maintain this qualification. Must be able to perform repairs and adjustments to high pressure boiler and obtain a high pressure boiler operator license within 1 year of employment and maintain this license to remain in the refrigeration department. This position works in a cold, damp, hot and humid environment with slippery surfaces. Must be able to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed. Must have the ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours a day along with the ability to grasp, grip, twist, pull, bend and stoop occasionally. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally.

Industrial refrigeration experience and/or experience in HVAC required, general maintenance experience in welding, electrical and hydraulics preferred.
