Description
Texas Research Institute (TRI) Austin is a small business with a 40-year history in applied materials science research and development for government and private industry. Our firm seeks an Engineer/Scientist with an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering for the Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) Division to support research and development efforts. A successful candidate in this position will be actively involved in:
- Digital signal processing
- Instrumentation
- Embedded hardware
- Software development.
- Electromagnetic simulations in support of hardware development
- Designing, conducting, and documenting experimental progress and activities and summarize in regular reports
- Write and review technical proposals for government agencies and private industry

Requirements
Skills the NDE group values include:
- Experience with data analysis in LabVIEW, MATLAB, and Python
- Previous experience with electromagnetic millimeter/micrometer wave NDE
- Familiarity with analog, RF, or microwave frequency circuit design
- Development of millimeter/micrometer wave imagers
- Possessing a high level of proficiency in technical writing
- Have an independent, self-starter mindset and be driven to learn and tackle challenges outside of your comfort zone
