Senior Technical Program Manager, Autonomous Driving Simulation

TuSimple is a global autonomous driving technology company headquartered in San Diego, California, with operations in the United States and Asia. Founded in 2015, TuSimple is developing a commercial-ready, fully autonomous (SAE Level 4) driving solution for long-haul heavy-duty trucks. What you will do:

• Effectively communicates and collaborates with stakeholders and development teams.
• Owns project life cycles, leads project kick-off and close out activities.
• Develops and maintains project plans, in conjunction with the project team, to meet milestones and completion dates.
• Keeps project progress well monitored, proactively overcome project challenges and mitigate risks. Ensures project team members meet assigned project deliverables and deadlines. 
• Effectively manages project deliverable changes and determines their impact on related and interdependent tasks and projects.
• Leads project meetings with stakeholders to monitor and support the project’s ongoing progression. Provides project status reports to senior leadership.
• Provides and manages project related documentation.
• Outlines, documents and shares lessons-learned, and improves management skills for future projects.

What You Will Need: 

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
• 3+ years of combined experience in project management and relevant engineering work
• Exceptional interpersonal skills. Capable of listening and obtaining clarification, changing approach or method to best fit the situation. Able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, understand and interpret stakeholder needs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Software development life cycle and Software Release cycle
• Experience creating and maintaining project plans, including: scope, schedules, resources and risks.
• Ability to maintain quality of execution throughout aggressive deadlines, changing priorities, and evolving operations, as common to fast-paced start-up environments.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to coordinate multiple tasks and support projects of varying complexity concurrently.
• Proven success with leading several small cross-functional teams, ensuring clear focus and direction, and delivering projects on schedule.

• Experience in automobile industry
• Experience in self driving related technologies
• Experience in simulation related technologies
• Experience using management tools and familiarity with SCRUM methodology

Please note: Individual salaries will vary within the following range based on factors such as location, business needs and candidate's skills, education, and experience.

Salary Range$114,000—$143,000 USD
