Description:
Southern Mechanical is seeking an experienced Plumbing Project Manager (Multi-Family) to join our team. This position is responsible for overseeing all phases of multifamily plumbing construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, execution, and closeout. Projects typically range from $500,000 to $10 million in value.

What You’ll Do
- Manage all aspects of multifamily plumbing construction projects from planning through completion
- Establish project objectives, milestones, procedures, and performance standards
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and cost controls
- Negotiate contracts with general contractors and subcontracted labor
- Monitor project financial performance, including forecasting, job costing, billing, and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting
- Review and interpret job cost analysis reports to ensure project profitability
- Coordinate with project teams to maintain current drawings, specifications, and change orders
- Manage labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
- Conduct occasional site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues
- Interface with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and local government officials as needed
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional work
- Provide regular project status updates and weekly job cost reports
What You’ll Bring
- 5–10 years of project management experience in multifamily or commercial plumbing construction
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing and piping systems
- Strong understanding of job costing, budgeting, scheduling, and financial forecasting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and job cost reports
- Experience negotiating contracts and managing subcontractors
- Knowledge of construction processes, change orders (CORs), code requirements, and cost control practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and time-management skills
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and results-driven
