Data Entry Specialist

Position Summary:

FW Logistics is an experienced logistic service provider that is big enough to handle supply chain logistics needs while still being small enough to give specialized service. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Data Entry Specialist The person in this role will input data with speed and accuracy, has razor-sharp eyes for detail and strives to meet high standards and drive continuous improvement. The Data Entry Specialist has strong computer skills and experience working within databases set far beyond that of other administrative professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Enter a variety of data using current technology
• Prepare and sort documents for data entry
• Previous data entry experience
• Excellent typing skills
• Review and enter data updates into the system
• Review data for discrepancies and accuracy
• Respond to phone/email correspondence using correct grammar
• Complete assigned tasks, and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years in business administration or data entry environment
• Preferred: 3 years in a data entry and/or warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment center environment

Physical Requirements:

• Use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
• Sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours a day if required.
• May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
• Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting as required to file documents.
• May include lifting up to 25 pounds on occasion.

Primary Work Environment: Shared office area with ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment. The performance of this position may require exposure to warehouse areas where, at certain times, temperatures fluctuate based on external weather conditions.
