Purpose: Equity Research Analysts play an integral role in the Global Banking & Markets division by providing in-depth research and analysis on publicly traded companies. Individuals in this role are driven to win and are motivated to be considered the best in the sector. Individuals must have demonstrated strong market judgment and a high accuracy of stock recommendations will be instrumental to success in this role. This role is suitable for an individual with significant experience as a senior analyst focused on healthcare companies (with particular focus on specific subsectors that are relevant for the position) or comparable experience in the Healthcare sector. This position will be at the Director or Managing Director level depending on the experience of the selected candidate.

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Conduct in-depth industry analysis and research using industry and financial sources.
  • Perform comprehensive financial statement analysis and create and maintain financial models.
  • Provide investment recommendations on publicly traded companies. 
  • Write fundamental research publications with value-added perspectives & differentiated views.
  • Deliver presentations to institutional clients and the internal sales & trading teams.
  • Follow overall market news and evaluate market data to assess short and long-term trends.
  • Collect, consolidate and interpret company and industry data.
  • Develop and maintain connections with investor relations and management of companies under coverage group.
  • Liaise with sales, trading and other areas of the firm within regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage, mentor & coach Research Associates and Associate Directors
  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.


What You’ll Bring 

  • A university degree in business or a relevant discipline is required.
  • An MBA, Masters of Finance degree, CPA designation or enrolment in/completion of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program is preferred 
  • Work experience in the Healthcare sector or in the capital markets in a financia
