The Acute Care and Monitoring (ACM) operating unit (OU) is committed to excellence in innovation and commercialization, pursuing our vision and long-term business growth. The ACM organization is refining its approach to product delivery, innovation, and commercialization to enable product leadership across all segments of its product portfolio. This will require enhancing our innovative processes, refining our design and delivery approaches to deliver an integrated and comprehensive portfolio that enables product development excellence across ACM.

The Product Director, Upstream Global Marketing, will lead a team of product and product planning marketers to drive innovation across the business area, encouraging best practices and knowledge sharing. The role involves significantly improving, changing, or adapting one's own department or business area’s processes, systems, products, or services. Navigate complex, difficult, and undefined conflicts and issues, which require detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand the problem.
Develops a coordinated, long-range product plan that meets global customer requirements and is technically feasible. Lead in customer requirement assessments through feedback from Product Managers, Innovation Delivery, Market Research, development, and execution of customer feedback programs. Interface with customers to identify key strategic areas of focus and obtain feedback regarding current and future product plans.
Overseeing the development of global marketing requirements documents, product roadmaps, and external partner relationships.

This position is based at the Lafayette, CO site.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and oversee corporate short- and long-term plans, goals, and objectives for specific products or portfolios.
Prepare executive-level presentations and supporting materials to align executive leadership and the ACM Leadership Team on new market opportunities and core team phase reviews to sustain business growth.
Lead competitive product analysis and market research, including consumer behavior insights and professional audience trends.
Assess the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements to inform strategic decisions.
Collaborate with product development teams to create and execute production and marketing strategies, ensuring effective product positioning throughout the product lifecycle.
Partner with cross-functional teams to finalize product specifications and align development priorities.
Serve as a technical advisor to demonstrate products, address challenges, and drive project progress.
Guide the upstream marketing team in generating opportunity assessments, including detailed market modeling, unmet needs identification, value proposition development, competitive landscape monitoring, and technological trend analysis.
Lead a global upstream marketing team, representing the voice of the customer on product core teams to ensure unmet needs are prioritized for the development of best-in-class products.
Identify opportunities for operational excellence and process improvements within upstream marketing to enhance efficiency and consistency.
Foster a diverse, inclusive, and highly engaged team through regular staff meetings, 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development discussions.
Hire and develop global marketing talent to ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders for the ACM organization.
Influence and collaborate across functions and business units to negotiate solutions and align on operational objectives.
Travel globally up to 30% as needed.
