Pharmacy Clinical Supervisor, RPh

Essential Job Duties:

1. Works with medical staff to develop drug therapy strategies that optimize patient outcomes
2. Develops pharmacy consult services that include a drug dosing service, TPN consult service, etc
3. Develops drug protocols to insure safe, effective treatment (.e.g. Potassium Protocol)
4. Reviews, adjusts, and implements clinical pharmacy programs to insure compliance with Joint Commission Standards.
5. Provides education to staff pharmacists regarding the various clinical programs
6. Works collaboratively as a team member with Pharmacy management staff
7. Plays a lead role in the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee by setting the agenda and driving changes in drug use that improve the quality of patient care.
8. Monitors hospital drug costs and explores options to reduce overall drug costs while maintain high quality of care.
9. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

1. Provides holiday and central staffing as required

Job Specifications:

• Pharm. D. in Pharmacy;
• Experience: 2-4 years in the provision of clinical pharmacy services either as a staff pharmacist or a clinical coordinator/manager. Pharmacy residency training is preferred.
