JOB TITLE:  General Laborer

ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Rural Water District 3 

REPORTS TO:  Projects Manager

FLSA:  Non- Exempt

Salary Range: $18.00 - $21.00

 **ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: Your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, $140.00 Employee plus family.**

Days and on call for emergencies 

JOB SUMMARY: 

To perform all aspects of the job as required by his supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to effectively communicate with others both orally and written
• Install Water lines, Valves and fittings
• Install Water Meter Service Lines, Water Meters, Meter Cans
• Make Repairs in the water District distribution system
• Ability to load and unload Equipment, tools, Materials on trailers
• Knowledge of hand and power tools and their proper operation
• Ability to perform general maintenance work

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Perform other duties and projects as required by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION: 

• Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent
• OK DL License with clean driving record

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Sitting or standing for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing ,and visual acuity

· Frequent lifting (up to 50-75 lbs)

· Occasional lifting (up to 100 lbs)

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in inclement weather and during all seasons. Some work is performed in confined areas, on slick and wet surfaces. Employees are exposed to vibrations, loud continuous noise, offensive smells, dust, dirt and water. Exposed to injury from moving equipment, insect bites, poisonous plants, flying objects, slippery surfaces and hazardous materials
