What the Role Involves:
As an Assistant Program Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting the Program Management team on planning, development, implementation, and progress tracking of a specific or multiple customer program/rollout in the refrigeration trade. This role will focus on supporting key performance objectives like customer support, quality, safety, scheduling, estimation, training, and management to provide outstanding services to the customers. Also, to assist the Program Management team on several project/program-related tasks.
- Assist in managing new or existing multi-million-dollar programs for new and existing clients and targeted revenue streams for AMS and DFR.
- Understand the entire scope of the project.
- Create a detailed project scope of work (SOW) that identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
- Oversee that project communications standards are upheld.
- Communications with contractors and customers and their representatives.
- Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
- Coordinate with Project Managers on a weekly basis to prepare updates for customers as required.
- Prepare presentations, trackers, and forecasts for DFR segments as requested/needed.
- Prepare SOW and Project Quotes for Sales Team to present to customer as needed.
- Assist with enhancing client relationships through proactive and positive communication, and by recognizing and delivering on client key issues and expectations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Other duties/tasks as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5+ years of Project Management, Project Coordination, Installation or Service experience in Refrigeration/ HVAC industry.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proficient in reading construction blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Highly effective time management skills with ability to complete tasks promptly as well as multi-task.
- Very detail oriented, able to handle variable, complex, project/program associated objectives.
- Develop new and unique ways to improve operations of the organization and to create new opportunities.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear decisions that are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
- Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities.
