5.5 Cybersecurity Lead

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cybersecurity Lead to build and oversee the organization’s cybersecurity strategy and operations. This individual will be responsible for developing policies, managing risk, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. The Cybersecurity Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead security incident responses, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Strategy & Leadership
• Define and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead the security operations team and provide mentorship to security analysts and engineers.
• Partner with senior leadership to develop long-term risk management and resilience plans.

• Risk Management & Compliance
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits; manage remediation plans.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, GDPR).
• Develop and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures.

• Threat Detection & Incident Response
• Oversee monitoring of security events and proactively detect threats and vulnerabilities.
• Lead investigations into security breaches and manage incident response efforts.
• Maintain and test the incident response plan and ensure team readiness.

• Security Architecture & Tools
• Evaluate and implement security technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
• Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to integrate security into infrastructure and applications.
• Review architecture and configurations for cloud and on-prem environments.

• Training & Awareness
• Develop security awareness programs and conduct regular training for employees.
• Promote a security-first culture across the organization.

What You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with 2+ years in a leadership or senior technical role.
• Expertise in network security, cloud security, identity management, and endpoint protection.
• Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto).
• Strong understanding of security architecture, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance standards.

What Will Set You Apart

• Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or OSCP.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing cloud-native applications.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline security.

Our salary range is generous and we take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary; base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
