Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a 2nd shift Lead Maintenance Technician in Bethesda, MD (2:00pm – 10:30pm Tuesday – Saturday). The Technician will report daily to the EMCOR 2nd shift Lead and support them to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment. Primary responsibilities of this position are to be responsible for the general facility maintenance needs at the facility and performing general maintenance of equipment as required. Knowledge of and capable to perform maintenance/repairs and various general tasks assigned. Qualified applicant must be a US Citizen, possess a valid driver’s license and have at least 3 to 5 years of hands on experience in facilities maintenance and dealing with a wide range of general type services. Must possess a professional appearance, excellent customer service and communication skills.
Working Schedule: 2nd Shift, Sunday– Thursday (2pm-10:30pm)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicates effectively with the Site Lead to determine service needs. Coordinates and supervise client sub-contractors while performing service on site.
- Repairs of Walls, Floors, Doors and any painting and touch up work for beautification of facility.
- Repair and unclog toilets, urinals, replace and maintain valve assemblies and repair/maintain sensors for automatic flush kits, as well as all other plumbing related to the facility. Responsible for operation, maintenance and repair of air handling equipment at this facility such as vent fans and circulation fans.
- Maintain a strict PM schedule. Maintain A/C and heating equipment, change filters and clean coils as needed.
- Performs a wide variety of corrective maintenance work request. General repairs, minor plumbing, carpentry and electrical needs such as light, receptacles, ballast and controls
- Assist other skilled employees to perform projects as requested.
- Perform monitoring of the building automation computer system to ensure equipment is running and the building temperature conditions are in range.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required, vocational or industry trade school required (Work experience may be substituted)
- 5 years of experience related to facility maintenance.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
- Ability to perform various general type maintenance tasks. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence utilizing basic computer skills and ability to communicate via email and internet use.

- Must have ability to repair and unclog Toilets, Urinals, replace and maintain Valve Assemblies and repair/maintain Sensors for Automatic Flush Kits, as well as all other plumbing related to the Facility. - Organization skills to maintain the client facility maintenance records and reports.

Physical Demands:
The ability to lift 50lbs, climb ladders and ability to walk the facility throughout the day are required. Have the ability to regularly kneel repetitively during shift.
