Community Engagement Coordinator

The Community Engagement Coordinator at Tennyson Center for Children will coordinate Tennyson’s volunteer program, soliciting and recognizing gifts in kind, foster community relationships to grow exposure and awareness, as well as support various fundraising and marketing campaigns. 

Essential Job Functions 

• Coordinate and manage Tennyson’s volunteer program, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling and retention.
• Manages and maintains ongoing documentation for the volunteer program.
• Actively seek out opportunities to connect volunteers to philanthropic opportunities as appropriate.
• Develop and grow the 1904 Society, Tennyson’s young professional group.
• Coordinate Tennyson’s Operation Giving Program, including outreach, logistics, volunteer support, donor cultivation and stewardship and tracking in-kind gifts.
• Attend community events to promote Tennyson’s mission, increase visibility, and build connections with potential supporters, partners, and volunteers.
• Solicit, attend and support third-party fundraisers.
• Solicit, coordinate, acknowledge and track in-kind donations.
• Assist with large projects, fundraising events, and internal and external communications, as needed by team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements 

• Minimal physical requirements, on occasion lifting up to 10 pounds as needed.  
• Setting up and breaking down materials or collateral information at special events may be required. 

    Working Conditions 

• Team atmosphere 
• 80-100% on-site work is required.
• Able to work some evening/weekend events as needed (donor dinners, donor appreciation events, fundraising events, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-3+ years of fundraising experience
• Knowledge of or proficient with Microsoft Office, Teams, Raiser’s Edge and other CRM software.
• Valid CO driver licensure
