About the role

JOB SUMMARY

Work studies are the connection between the Division of Volunteer Efforts (DOVE) and the student population at Seton Hall. They are responsible for coordinating weekly programs through DOVE, as well as completing in-office work that will foster our programs and our relationship with outside agencies and our Catholic mission.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Represent DOVE at a variety of community service sites

* Be present for mandatory work days and scheduled hours

* Attend Pirate Adventure Orientation Days

* Answer office phones, take messages, send emails to volunteers

* Keep office clean and organized

*  Various projects, organizing donations and cleaning office / closet

* Post publicity for upcoming events

* Be attentive regarding all DOVE PR

Summer work studies will be expected to be available for the following scheduled dates & times:

Week 1: May 26th & 28th - 11:30am-4pm

Week 2: June 2nd & 4th - 11:30am-4pm

Week 3: June 9th & 11th - 11:30am-4pm

Week 4: June 16th & 18th - 11:30am-4pm (Mandatory orientation date)

Week 5: June 23rd & 25th - 11:30am-4pm (Mandatory orientation date)

**Pre-approved DOVE work-study driver(s) will be expected to drive to weekly to St. John’s soup kitchen for DOVE’s Summer Service Program for Employees. Thursday mornings 5/28, 6/4, 6/11, 6/18 & 6/25 from 7:00am-10:00am instead of the Thursday 11:30am-4pm shift.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

**Must be a returning DOVE work study student**

Experience with DOVE community outreach and volunteerism. Ability to engage with incoming students provide knowledge of all types of DOVE programming.

Familiarity with department/office procedures.

Knowledge of specific software programs as needed.

Must be enrolled in a matriculated program and registered at least half-time for Fall 2026
