Responsibilities

The Senior Assistant General Counsel – Managed Care Reimbursement is a leader within the managed care reimbursement team.  This attorney has substantial prior experience in the subject matter and supervising other attorneys.  This attorney has years of experience resolving reimbursement disputes with managed care plans through mediation, arbitration, and litigation.  This may also include payor relations efforts through joint operations committees or experience with managed care contracts.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.    J.D. from ABA Accredited Law School

2.    Member in Good Standing of State Bar (does not have to be California)

3.    At least ten (10) years’ experience as an attorney in a law firm, public sector, and/or in-house position.

4.    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

5.    Experience providing advice and counsel to all levels of corporate management regarding common practices and legal procedures in managed care plans and reimbursement.

6.    Substantial experience with managed care plans and reimbursement work; and

7.    Prior experience representing either providers or payors in reimbursement disputes.
